Minors & Seniors Information

The Minors and Seniors program at Oak Hills has been around for many years. It is a continuation of the regular SAY program for kids who are too old for the regular program. Any player who turns 14 years old or older before July 31st of the current year, can not play for the regular SAY program. Their only options are to play for their High School or to play for the Minors and Seniors program in their area. They can not play for both their High School and for the SAY Minors and Seniors program. While much of the program is the same as the regular SAY program, much of it is not. We will try to cover the main differences as much as possible here.

The Minors and Seniors program is a Fall only program. Registration for the program begins in April and continues until all teams are full.

To start with, we do not have an official draw date like the regular program. Therefore, the deadlines for establishing teams and placing players on those teams is later than the regular program. This is because we normally don't have enough players to have multiple teams at each level. We will usually only have 1 boys Minors team and 1 girls Minors team, 1 boys Seniors teams and 1 girls Seniors team. Because of the later start of their season, it is not uncommon for the siblings of Minor and Senior players who are in the regular program to be practicing before the Minors and Seniors players have even been contacted about their team. The time line of events for this program is a little behind the regular program. Another big difference is that this is a combined WASA and WCBM league. Which means that you will play teams like Delhi, St. Lawrence, Saylor Park, etc. in addition to the teams that you would play in the regular program (Visitation, Lourdes, St Al's Three Rivers). Game days and practice locations will also be different than the other programs.

Additional information will be posted on this page as we get nearer to the start of the season and as the season progresses.
